Airhole Airhood Milk Fleece Hooded Balaclava Helmet Fit
AHB3MKHF-OWHT-SM
The Airhood Milk Fleece covers the head, neck and face in one piece.
Milk Fleece is double-brushed for warmth and hydrophobic, so moisture stays off your skin, and the 4-way stretch means it sits flat under or over a helmet without bunching.
It's a hooded balaclava for snowboarding and skiing, and the Helmet Fit is the Airhood to pick if you ride in a helmet. The hood goes on over a helmet and covers your head, ears and neck.
The Airhole at the mouth lets your breath out instead of up into your goggles, so your lenses stay clearer and the mask doesn't turn clammy. On our warmth scale Milk Fleece is a Cold days fabric, for roughly −5 to −15°C.
Fabric: 95% polyester, 5% spandex. Sizes: S/M fits heads 50–55 cm, M/L fits 55–60 cm.

Airhole Breath Hole
The signature Airhole lets warm breath escape instead of rising into your goggles, so they stay clear.
Fits Over Your Helmet
The hood goes on over a helmet and covers head, ears and neck in one piece.
Breathe Free
The Airhole mouth opening lets breath and heat escape freely, so your goggles stay clear and the mask never turns clammy.
Soft Milk Fleece
Double-brushed Milk Fleece is soft against skin, sheds moisture and stretches four ways for a comfortable fit.

Fed up with wet, frozen masks in the backcountry, Canadian pro snowboarders Chris Brown and Kale Stephens took to Kale's grandma's old sewing machine and cut up worn-out jackets until the fit was right. The result was the patented Airhole Breath Hole. Today it's worn by our global team, from Terje Haakonsen and Roope Rautiainen to Yuto Miyamura.

Frequently asked questions

- Coldest days, -10 to -25°C (14 to -13°F): Polartec® Shearling Fleece, 10K Softshell
- Cold days, -5 to -15°C (23 to 5°F): Polar Fleece, Milk Fleece, Polartec® Power Dry
- Everyday, 0 to -10°C (32 to 14°F): Microfleece, Drytech, Waffle Fleece, Polartec® 100, Merino
- Warmer days and hiking, +5 to -5°C (41 to 23°F): Drylite, Hyper Hole
Riding at -20°C and below, or in big wind? Go Shearling or Softshell.
Yes. The hinged balaclavas have a shaped face panel that sits flat under a helmet without bunching, and folds down when you need to eat, drink or breathe. Airtubes pull up over your face and stay put under a helmet and goggles. Riding an Airhood with a helmet? Pick the Helmet Fit version.
That's what the Airhole is for. Warm breath goes out through the mouth opening instead of up into your goggles, so your lenses stay clearer and the mask doesn't turn clammy. The Laser styles do the same job through laser-cut micro-airholes.
