Hyper Hole: Your Breath, in Colour

Your breath, in colour.

Hyper Hole is a new fabric for us, and it's a fun one. It reacts to heat, so it changes colour where it warms up, like where your breath hits it, then fades back as it cools. Breathe out through the laser holes and you watch it happen. We made it in two styles: a hinge balaclava and the Airtube Ergo neck gaiter.

Your breath is warmer than the air around it, so the patch over your mouth changes first. Ride into the wind, or pull it down for a minute, and the colour fades back as the fabric cools.

The face panel is laser cut with micro-airholes, so your breath goes out through the fabric instead of up into your goggles. That's the whole point of an Airhole: clearer lenses and a mask that doesn't turn into a wet rag by lunch. The fabric wicks moisture and dries fast.

The Balaclava is a full hinge balaclava. Wear it up for full face coverage, or drop it down under your chin when you're stopped. The shaped face panel sits flat under a helmet without bunching, so it doubles as a helmet liner, and it's white inside. Hyper Hole Balaclavas

The Airtube Ergo is our neck gaiter, pre-curved to your face so it seals out wind and stays put with no seam across the nose, even under a helmet and goggles. Wear it down around your neck, or pull it up and the laser holes sit right over your mouth. Hyper Hole Neck Gaiters

Both are 92% polyester, 8% spandex. On our warmth scale Hyper Hole is an Everyday fabric, for roughly 0 to −10°C, the same as Drytech. There's a limited run of each colour this season.
