The Airhood Polar Fleece is built for cold, stormy days when full coverage and warmth are essential. Combining a relaxed-fit hood with our Airtube Ergo neck gaiter, this piece delivers full protection from head to chest. Made from cozy, moisture-resistant Polar Fleece, it repels snow while trapping heat—keeping you dry, warm, and protected even when the weather turns.
The ergonomic shape sits comfortably over your face, while the patented Airhole allows breath to escape—preventing condensation and foggy goggles.
The Airhood is our hooded balaclava for snowboarding and skiing. The relaxed-fit hood goes on over your helmet, so your head, ears and neck are covered in one piece, and the Airhole at the mouth is one small oval hole, held open by a moulded silicone ring.
Your breath goes out through it instead of up into your goggles. On our warmth scale Polar Fleece is a Cold days fabric, for roughly −5 to −15°C.

Fed up with wet, frozen masks in the backcountry, Canadian pro snowboarders Chris Brown and Kale Stephens took to Kale's grandma's old sewing machine and cut up worn-out jackets until the fit was right. The result was the patented Airhole Breath Hole. Today it's worn by our global team, from Terje Haakonsen and Roope Rautiainen to Yuto Miyamura.

- Coldest days, -10 to -25°C (14 to -13°F): Polartec® Shearling Fleece, 10K Softshell
- Cold days, -5 to -15°C (23 to 5°F): Polar Fleece, Milk Fleece, Polartec® Power Dry
- Everyday, 0 to -10°C (32 to 14°F): Microfleece, Drytech, Waffle Fleece, Polartec® 100, Merino
- Warmer days and hiking, +5 to -5°C (41 to 23°F): Drylite, Hyper Hole
Riding at -20°C and below, or in big wind? Go Shearling or Softshell.
Yes. The hinged balaclavas have a shaped face panel that sits flat under a helmet without bunching, and folds down when you need to eat, drink or breathe. Airtubes pull up over your face and stay put under a helmet and goggles. Riding an Airhood with a helmet? Pick the Helmet Fit version.
That's what the Airhole is for. Warm breath goes out through the mouth opening instead of up into your goggles, so your lenses stay clearer and the mask doesn't turn clammy. The Laser styles do the same job through laser-cut micro-airholes.

The hood feels good and is well made. I would prefer that the top was made of thinner material to fit underneath the helmet better. Good for cold day in the NE!

Works pretty well, but would have a better fit with a helmet on underneath. The second face layer falls down covering the breathing hole

The quality like all Airhole products is top notch. It’s warm, durable and obviously the patented Airhole keeps the gogs fog free. The only issue I have is the mask part fits really tight on my face. But that might be due to the helmet I have. Once I get a new helmet next season I hope that resolves the only issue. Keep the kickass products rollin’! Maybe think of using some biodegradable material for packaging;)

The product itself is great. I love it. Would have loved to be able to track my item more precisely and/or to chat with a representative when needed. At one point I wanted to cancel my order, but couldn't. (Since it took more time than advertised on the website).

It is a nice mask but I can’t wear it with my helmet as it is too bulky to fit in it... I will look at other Airhole products .... but I can’t really send something like this back.

The large is a little too tight and it doesn’t fit over a helmet it’s OK for a neck warmer

I really liked this face mask except for one thing. The neck at the bottom is very loose and would push up and out over my jacket. I think a draw-string of some kind to make it more secure would be a great addition to this already good face mask.
