Which Sandbox helmet?
Sandbox started in Whistler in 2007, and the brim has been our signature since. Here's how the line splits.
- Profile: the Classic shape brought closer to the head. Polycarbonate shell, Fit System, magnetic chin buckle. Comes with MIPS.
- Legend X: the Legend re-engineered with a polycarbonate shell, and one of the lightest helmets we've built.
- Classic 2.0 Snow: the original brim shape, with a rear-dial Fit System and grid fleece liner. Comes with MIPS, in Kids sizes, and in Asia Fit.
- Icon Snow: sleek, low profile and brimless, with the same dial fit. Comes with MIPS, in Kids sizes and in Asia Fit.
- Brain Bucket (Classic and Icon): the same shapes, streamlined, without ear pads.
MIPS. Any helmet with MIPS in the name has a low-friction layer inside that helps reduce rotational forces in certain impacts. Sizing. Our helmets fit small, so size up if you wear a beanie or balaclava underneath.
