The Balaclava Polar Fleece combines full-face coverage with enhanced flexibility, perfect for those who need adaptability in changing weather.
The unique hinged ergonomic design allows you to adjust the fit for maximum comfort and versatility, while the trusted Polar Fleece fabric delivers exceptional warmth and moisture resistance.
This is the original Airhole snowboard face mask: a full hinge balaclava for snowboarding and skiing, with one small oval hole at the mouth, held open by a moulded silicone ring. The hole does the anti-fog work: your breath goes out through it instead of up into your goggles, so your lenses stay clearer.
The face panel is shaped to sit flat under a helmet without bunching, and it folds down when you need to eat, drink or breathe. Polar Fleece is our most popular fabric. It breathes, wicks moisture and dries fast. On our warmth scale Polar Fleece is a Cold days fabric, for roughly −5 to −15°C.
Fabric: 92% polyester, 8% spandex. Sizes: S/M fits heads 50–55 cm, M/L fits 55–60 cm. Canadian pro snowboarders started Airhole in 2006, and every mask is still built around the hole.

One hole. Everything else follows.
THE ORIGINAL AIRHOLE
The signature Airhole lets warm breath escape instead of rising into your goggles, so they stay clear and the mask never turns clammy.

FULL HINGE
An anatomically shaped face panel sits flat under a helmet without bunching, and folds down when you need to eat, drink or breathe.
Prevent Goggle Fog
Warm breath exits through the silicone Airhole instead of rising into your goggles, so your lenses stay clear from the first run to the last.
Fed up with wet, frozen masks in the backcountry, Canadian pro snowboarders Chris Brown and Kale Stephens took to Kale's grandma's old sewing machine and cut up worn-out jackets until the fit was right. The result was the patented Airhole Breath Hole. Today it's worn by our global team, from Terje Haakonsen and Roope Rautiainen to Yuto Miyamura.

Head size: measure around the fullest part of your head.
Nose to mouth: measure from the middle of the bridge of your nose to the middle of your mouth.
This is hands down the best facemask money can buy. The only one that won’t freeze up, fog the goggles or cause laboured breathing.

no more foggy goggles and I can show my bottom teeth!
Review for Airhole Original Mouth | Polar Fleece Balaclava
I use my Polar balaclava in colder, windy, and generally harsher weather and it keeps me warm and protected while letting me breathe properly.
It depends on the fabric. Warmest to lightest:
Riding at -20°C and below, or in big wind? Go Shearling or Softshell.
Yes. The hinged balaclavas have a shaped face panel that sits flat under a helmet without bunching, and folds down when you need to eat, drink or breathe. Airtubes pull up over your face and stay put under a helmet and goggles. Riding an Airhood with a helmet? Pick the Helmet Fit version.
That's what the Airhole is for. Warm breath goes out through the mouth opening instead of up into your goggles, so your lenses stay clearer and the mask doesn't turn clammy. The Laser styles do the same job through laser-cut micro-airholes.
